Merchant
The shopkeeper whose stall is where most of your gold gets spent.
The Merchant runs the Shop, one of the map locations in Slay the Spire and the main place to spend Gold. A shop offers five cards for your character, two colourless cards, three relics and three potions, and one of the character cards is always half price. The relic on the far right is always a Shop relic, and shops are the only place those can be found.
Background
The Merchant also offers a card removal service once per shop. It costs 75 Gold the first time and 25 Gold more each time you use it at any shop, and on Ascension 16 or higher every price is 10% higher.
