Football Manager 2024, the twenty-first main game in the series, is a football management simulation developed by Sports Interactive and published by Sega. It came out on 6 November 2023, with a mobile version launching as a Netflix Games exclusive. This edition marked two firsts for the franchise: it was the first Football Manager title ever released in Japan, and it included the fully licensed J1, J2, and J3 Japanese leagues. Another new feature allowed players to carry over their save files from Football Manager 2023 into this game, a capability that will be supported in future versions as well, though those who use it cannot unlock achievements.
By February 2024, the game had become the most-played edition in series history, reaching seven million players within its first 100 days. On 7 March 2024, it won Best UK PC game at the Ukie Video Game Awards and was also shortlisted for Best British Game at the BAFTA Games Awards. In May 2024, the mobile version was nominated for Best Mobile Game at the Develop:Star Awards. In September 2025, studio director Miles Jacobson told Eurogamer that total player numbers had climbed to 19.09 million.
A planned sequel, Football Manager 25, was originally set for a November 2024 release but was delayed to March 2025 before being cancelled in February 2025 due to quality concerns. On 13 August 2025, the next installment was announced as Football Manager 26, with a release date of 4 November 2025.
