Gang bang

Last updated

In a gang bang, a single individual is the recipient of sexual acts from a group, often exceeding three people, who may participate either one after another or all at once.[1] The phrase "reverse gang bang" describes a scenario with one male and multiple females, whereas the standard usage typically highlights a female as the central participant.[1] No exact participant count defines a gang bang, but groups commonly consist of more than three individuals and can reach a dozen or more.[2]

Key facts and history

Within pornography, the term often denotes a produced scene where a woman engages sexually with a series of men, one right after the other.[1] Pornographic film companies sponsor the largest recorded gang bangs, yet such group sexual activity is also common within swinger communities.[3] Same-sex gang bangs, involving only women or only men, are also documented.[4] Although gang bang porn films have existed since the 1980s, they typically featured between six and twelve male participants.[5]

The 1995 film The World's Biggest Gangbang, featuring Annabel Chong with 251 partners, marked the start of a trend in pornography where films claimed to set records for the highest number of consecutive sexual acts.[5] These record-setting films achieved commercial success and received AVN Awards for being the top-selling pornographic releases in their respective years.[6] When a gang bang is arranged so that all male participants ejaculate nearly simultaneously or in quick succession onto the central person, the event is sometimes called bukkake.[2]

What the cited sources add

She stated that only about 30 men were "strategically placed and filmed," and only ten of those were actually able to perform sexually on camera.[6] The record-breaking claims in such films were often misleading and the events effectively unofficiated.[6] Jasmin St. Claire stated that her claimed record of 300 men in World's Biggest Gang Bang 2 was "among the biggest cons ever pulled off in the porn business," explaining that only about 30 men were strategically positioned and filmed, and just ten of those could actually perform sexually on camera.[6]
