Fernando Alonso Díaz (born 29 July 1981) is a Spanish racing driver who competes in Formula One for Aston Martin. Alonso won two Formula One World Drivers' Championship titles, in 2005 and 2006 with Renault. In endurance racing, Alonso won the 2018–19 FIA World Endurance Championship and is a two-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Toyota. Alonso signed for Ferrari in 2010, finishing runner-up to Sebastian Vettel by four points in the F10, and was runner-up to Vettel again in 2012 and 2013. Alonso won on his debut with Ferrari at the 2010 Bahrain Grand Prix.
