Lore & Background
Mickey Altieri is a student at Windsor College and a friend of Derek Feldman. He is present during the series of murders that target Sidney Prescott and other Woodsboro survivors. His role as a killer is revealed when he ties Derek to a cross in the campus theater and shoots him dead. Mickey explains his plan: to kill Sidney, allow himself to be arrested, and then use the trial to blame movie violence for the murders, thereby gaining fame. He is shot by his accomplice, Nancy Loomis (the mother of Woodsboro killer Billy Loomis), who betrays him. Mickey fires his gun before collapsing, wounding Gale Weathers. Later, after Nancy is shot by Cotton Weary, Mickey suddenly resurfaces but is shot to death by Gale and Sidney.
