No weapons or tactics worked against the waves pouring from the gates, and cities were destroyed one after another. However, the gates also awakened psychokinetic powers in a tiny fraction of humans. These psychic warriors helped governments turn the war’s tide. After immense losses, humanity closed the gates. These psychics became known as "Closers," and the invasion was called the First Dimensional War. With the monsters defeated, peace returned and cities were rebuilt. Research into the gates and psychokinetic power revealed that gates open when a singularity in this power occurs, but understanding remained incomplete. Surviving Closers joined an organization called UNION, researching psychokinetic power worldwide to prevent another war. Then the dimensional gates began shaking again, as stronger creatures renewed their attack on Earth.
Characters include the Black Lambs team: Seha Lee, a lonely striker-class Closer who plays games, whose mother was a legendary Alpha Queen Closer; Seulbi Lee, a caster-class Closer and team leader who lost her parents to dimensional monsters; Seo Yuri, a genki ranger-class Closer and kendo champion; J, a fighter-class Closer; and Misteltein, a fun-loving lancer-class Closer. The Wolf Dogs team consists of Nata, a hunter-class Closer; Levia, a timid witch-class Closer; Harpy, a rogue-class Closer and former thief; Tina, a serene robotic arms-class Closer; and Violet, a lavish, tsundere valkyrie-class Closer after her father’s death.
