Super Moonies was assembled in 1998 specifically to record songs for the German version of the Sailor Moon anime. The lead singer, Bianca Hanif, performed under the stage name 'Kisu', derived from the Japanese word for 'kiss'. The dancers, Gabriela Gottschalk and Jascha Anantaponge, portrayed Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask respectively. Gottschalk later became a member of the band Hot Banditoz. The group's choreography was created by American choreographer Kris Mohfanz, who had also choreographed Blümchen's Jasmin Live 1998 Tour.
