Clwb Rygbi, which translates from Welsh as "Rugby Club," is a Welsh-language rugby union programme broadcast on S4C. Produced by BBC Cymru Wales, it ranks among the channel's most popular shows. Before the 2014–15 season, it was titled Y Clwb Rygbi.
The programme is hosted by Gareth Rhys Owen, with analysis from Deiniol Jones and Andrew Coombs. Commentary comes from Gareth Charles and former Wales captain Gwyn Jones, while Catrin Heledd and Owain Gwynedd serve as touchline reporters. From the 2015–16 season onward, Clwb Rygbi's primary coverage focuses on the Pro14, airing a live match each league round whenever possible—typically featuring a Welsh regional side. International matches, including the Six Nations, are broadcast under the title Clwb Rygbi Rhyngwladol (Welsh for "International Rugby Club"). Wales’ November Test series and other internationals also appear under this banner. Highlights of the Principality Premiership and the SWALEC Cup are shown, with the SWALEC Cup final televised live. Live Pro14 games generally air on Friday afternoons.
Other rugby competitions for which S4C holds rights are broadcast as separate programmes: *Rygbi: Cwpan Pencampwyr Ewrop* for the European Rugby Champions Cup, *Rygbi: Cwpan Her Ewrop* for Welsh regions in the knockout stages of the European Rugby Challenge Cup, and *Top 14: Rygbi Ffrainc* for the French Top 14. These shows share some presenters and commentators. English-language commentary is available via a red button service, unless another broadcaster holds the rights to that match's English commentary.
The programme reportedly won a BAFTA Cymru award for Best Live Coverage/Outside Broadcast in 1999 and again in 2005, though this requires verification. In 2002, it received the Royal Television Society Regional Sports Programme of the Year award, becoming the first Welsh-language programme to win an RTS Sport Award.
A spin-off, *Clwb Rygbi 13*, was announced on 30 May 2007. S4C planned to cover four live matches of the Celtic Crusaders rugby league team, beginning on 9 June 2007 when the Crusaders hosted Barrow Raiders at the Brewery Field at 6.30 pm. In total, nine matches were broadcast over two years.
