Saat Pardon Mein

Saat Pardon Mein (Urdu: سات پردوں میں, meaning "Behind Seven Veils") is a Pakistani romantic fantasy drama serial that aired on Geo TV. It was broadcast weekly on Fridays from September 2012 to March 2013, spanning 24 episodes. The serial was written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah and directed by Yasir Nawaz, with a cast including Mikaal Zulfiqar, Sohai Ali Abro, and Kaiser Khan Nizamani. Abro has stated that her role in the show is particularly meaningful to her, as it was the performance that brought her recognition in the industry.

The story follows Darakhshanday Badar (Sohai Ali Abro), a young woman from Bahawalpur raised in a religious family; her father is a prominent religious leader. She is a devoted fan of television actor Ehsan Muraad (Mikaal Zulfiqar) and manages to obtain his phone number. She calls him to express her admiration, and he casually thanks her. Ehsan’s best friend, television producer Badar Suleman (Alyy Khan), is struggling with psychological issues and desires to change his gender. Annoyed by Darakhshanday’s repeated calls, Ehsan asks Badar to speak with her. Unaware that she is actually talking to Badar, not Ehsan, Darakhshanday falls in love with him. When her father arranges her marriage, she decides to run away. She reaches Karachi and calls Badar, telling him she has left home for him. Badar explains the situation to Ehsan and brings Darakhshanday to Ehsan’s house. Living there, she realizes Ehsan only wants to use her for pleasure and will not marry her. Their unchaste relationship results in her pregnancy. Once she overcomes her infatuation, Ehsan convinces her to spend one more night with him. The next morning, regretful of her sin, she asks him to marry her, but he refuses and suggests a live-in arrangement instead. Devastated, she leaves his house and is later found by Badar, who marries her.

The cast includes Mikaal Zulfiqar as Ehsan Muraad, Sohai Ali Abro as Darakshanday Badar, Alyy Khan as Badar Suleman, Tariq Jamil as Baba Jani, Sabreen Hisbani as Gulabi, Ismat Zaidi as Badar’s mother, Farah Nadir as Javeria, Kaiser Khan Nizamani as Haroon Kaka, and M. Zubair Khan as Farhan.
