Shield

A ballistic shield is a hand-held shield that protects its user from gunfire. In Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege the standard shield is available only to Fuze, while Blitz, Montagne and Blackbeard carry special variants and Clash has a shield that works differently from all the others. It is carried as a primary weapon in the left hand with the secondary weapon usable in the right, protects the head and body from the direction it faces while leaving the legs and shoulders exposed unless the user crouches, can be angled up or down, and lowers an operator's speed by 10% of base (20% for Blitz) whether or not it is equipped.
