Marcellus Wallace
The boss whose orders drive the actions of Vincent and Jules, and whose wrath is absolute.
Marcellus Wallace is the gangster boss for whom Jules Winnfield and Vincent Vega work in Los Angeles. He is married to Mia Wallace, an aspiring actress, and he instructs Vincent to take her to dinner the following night. Marcellus is also seen at a bar bribing an aging boxer, Butch Coolidge, to intentionally lose his upcoming boxing match. After Butch double-crosses him by killing his opponent, Marcellus chases Butch into a pawnshop, where the shop owner, Maynard, captures both of them at gunpoint. Maynard and his accomplice, Zed, take Marcellus into another room and rape him. Butch breaks free, kills Maynard with a katana, and frees Marcellus, who then incapacitates Zed. Marcellus instructs Butch to tell no one about the incident and leave Los Angeles forever, while he himself intends to "get medieval" on Zed.
