Reader's Guide

Winston Wolfe is portrayed by Harvey Keitel in a role that redefines the concept of a criminal fixer. Unlike other characters who rely on violence or intimidation, Wolfe relies on competence and an unshakeable command of logistics. His relationship with Marsellus Wallace is professional; he is a hired gun for problems rather than people. There is no history shown between them, only a mutual respect for results. Wolfe treats Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield not as equals but as obstacles to be managed until they follow his instructions perfectly. Harvey Keitel's performance captures the essence of a man who has seen it all and solved it all before. His delivery is dry, fast, and devoid of emotion, making him one of the most memorable figures in the film despite limited screen time.
