Jungle Fury Eagle
Wings of thunder, talons of justice—soaring above the battlefield to strike true.
The Eagle Zord is an avian-themed battle mecha from the thirteenth season of Power Rangers, Jungle Fury (2008). As the aerial component of the Jungle Fury team's Zord roster, it provides the group with superior mobility, speed, and striking power from the skies. Piloted by Kevin, the Green Ranger, the Eagle Zord serves as both a standalone combatant and a critical piece of the team's ultimate combined formation.
In a season defined by its four powerful animal-themed Zords—Tiger, Wolf, Gorilla, and Eagle—the Eagle fills the role of the swift, high-altitude striker. Its sleek, bird-of-prey silhouette contrasts with the heavier ground-based Zords, giving the Rangers tactical flexibility in both urban and wilderness environments.

Lore & Background
The Eagle Zord was created as part of the ancient arsenal designed to protect the world from the forces of the Putripet, the villainous organization that sought to harvest the life force of the jungle. Where the Tiger, Wolf, and Gorilla Zords dominate the ground with brute strength and ferocity, the Eagle Zord commands the upper atmosphere, its razor-sharp talons and piercing dive attacks making it a devastating aerial predator against both mechanical and organic foes.
Kevin, the Green Ranger and a skilled pilot in his own right, bonded with the Eagle Zord after joining the Jungle Fury team. His connection to the Zord emphasized agility, precision, and the freedom of flight—qualities that complemented the more grounded fighting styles of Jay, Emma, and Tyler. The Eagle Zord's cockpit and control interface were designed to let Kevin feel the wind and the rush of a high-speed dive, making piloting it an almost instinctive experience.
When all four Zords combined, the Eagle Zord formed the head and upper-wing structure of the Jungle Fury Megazord, lending the combined giant its sharp vision, sweeping wing strikes, and the ability to launch the team into the air for aerial combat. This combination represented the full spectrum of the jungle's apex predators united into a single, unstoppable force.
In Their Own Story
The sunset bled crimson across the skyline as Kevin strapped into the Eagle Zord's cockpit, the canopy sealing with a hydraulic hiss. Below, the Putripet's mechanical swarm was tearing through the city's eastern district, their chittering engines a sound like grinding teeth. He felt the Zord's wings flex beneath him—vast membranes of armored plating catching the last golden light. "Eagle Zord, engage," he called, and the world dropped away. The dive was a white-hot streak of wind and thunder, talons extended, the city shrinking to a grid of glass and steel far below. He banked hard, the G-force pressing him into the seat, and unleashed a sweeping wing-strike that shattered three drones in a cascade of sparking metal. The swarm regrouped, but Kevin was already climbing again, the Eagle Zord screaming upward into the bruised purple sky, waiting for the moment to fold his wings and bring the full weight of the jungle from above.
Reader's Guide
The Eagle Zord debuted in Power Rangers Jungle Fury, the thirteenth season (2008). It is piloted by Kevin, the Green Ranger, who joined the team after the original trio of Jay, Emma, and Tyler. Its design inspiration is the eagle, a powerful bird of prey, giving it a sleek, angular silhouette with broad wings, a sharp beak, and taloned feet that contrast with the bulkier Tiger, Wolf, and Gorilla Zords.
In solo combat, the Eagle Zord excels at high-speed aerial maneuvers, dive-bomb strikes, and wing sweeps that can knock back multiple enemies simultaneously. Its talons deliver concentrated impact, and its beak can be used for piercing strikes against armored targets. Kevin's piloting style emphasizes fluidity and speed, making the Eagle Zord feel almost alive in the air.
The Eagle Zord's primary combination role is as a component of the Jungle Fury Megazord, where it merges with the Tiger, Wolf, and Gorilla Zords to form the combined giant's head and wing structure. This gives the Megazord its aerial attack options and sharp, sweeping wing strikes. As the only avian Zord in the team's roster, the Eagle Zord is the sole source of the team's true flight capability in combined form.
A notable limitation is that the Eagle Zord, while fast and agile, lacks the raw crushing power of the Gorilla or the sustained melee endurance of the Tiger, making it less effective in prolonged ground-level brawls. Kevin's relative inexperience compared to the other Rangers also meant early piloting sessions were less coordinated, a gap he steadily closed over the course of the season.

- The Eagle Zord is the only avian-themed Zord in the Jungle Fury team, making it the sole source of true aerial mobility for the combined Megazord.
- Jungle Fury (2008) marked a deliberate shift in the franchise toward a cohesive animal-themed Zord set—Tiger, Wolf, Gorilla, and Eagle—rather than the mixed vehicle-and-animal combos seen in earlier seasons.
- Kevin, the Green Ranger, was a later addition to the Jungle Fury team, meaning the Eagle Zord entered the roster after the other three Zords were already in active use.
- In the Jungle Fury Megazord combination, the Eagle Zord provides the head and wing elements, giving the combined giant its distinctive bird-like upper profile.
