Ivan Ooze was an ancient sorcerer who was imprisoned beneath the Earth for thousands of years, until construction workers accidentally awakened him in the present day. His primary motivation was to drain the Great Power, which fuels the Rangers' abilities. By draining this source, he intended to leave humanity vulnerable and establish himself as the supreme ruler of Angel Grove. His campaign involved freeing monsters previously imprisoned by Zordon and the Rangers, creating a chaotic alliance that overwhelmed the team initially.
Ooze's most notorious feat was using a toxic ooze to age the Power Rangers rapidly into old age, stripping them of their fighting capability. They were later de-aged by Dulcea's magic (the Phoenix Coin) before the final battle, not by the Great Power after defeating Ooze. Ultimately, his arrogance led to his downfall. The Rangers managed to regain their strength and destroyed his ooze-based body, erasing his essence entirely.
This defeat prevented him from causing further harm, though his legacy lived on in later Power Rangers media, such as the Boom! Studios comic series and anniversary celebrations.
