Background
Born in Hyannis, Massachusetts, she moved to New York City at 18 to act and studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. Her breakthrough came a little over six months after she moved to Los Angeles, when she was cast as Kimberly in the first Power Rangers series; her first film was Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie.
The show made her famous worldwide but paid the cast only $600 a week, with no royalties from re-runs. The productions were non-union, and she was nearly set on fire during one stunt and nearly electrocuted on Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. She left in 1995 and passed the Pink Ranger role to Catherine Sutherland.
Later she played Julie Emrick on Felicity and Jules Callaghan on Flashpoint, directed the features The Space Between and Tammy's Always Dying, and released several albums.
