Metropolitan Division
NHL division formed in 2013, no Canadian teams, historic rivalries.
The Metropolitan Division is one of two divisions in the NHL's Eastern Conference, formed in 2013 during a league realignment. It succeeded the original Atlantic Division and is one of two successors to the Southeast Division. Six of its teams previously played together in the Patrick Division from 1981 to 1993. It is the only NHL division without a Canadian team.
