Reception
Critics noted the game's extremely short length. Engadget and Nintendo Life called it harmless fun and mostly good for passing time. Wes Davis of The Verge described it as a digital AR game equivalent of a fidget spinner and a cute, distilled version of Pikmin Bloom, good for only a couple minutes of diversion. Victoria Kennedy of Eurogamer found it charming but simplful, and rather delightful. Shunal Doke of Gaming Bolt deemed the gameplay rather simplistic and nothing more than an advertisement for Pikmin 4. Kieron Verbrugge from Press Start called it a fun diversion, acknowledging its browser-based accessibility but noting image quality depends on the player's photography abilities and camera quality. Hideaki Fujiwara of Automaton Media said the AR technology was put to good use and offered a glimpse of Niantic's proactive attitude towards expanding AR functions.
