Place a Palbox, get a base: fast travel, respawn and Pal workers.
A base in Palworld is set up by placing a Palbox, a tier 2 technology item. The base works as a fast-travel and respawn point and a place where your Pals live and work, and everything inside the Palbox's circular range is protected from slowly falling apart.

Background
Missions raise the base level, and each level adds a working Pal slot; a second base becomes available at level 10 and a third at level 15. Structures built outside the Palbox's range slowly deteriorate. Caught Pals go into the Palbox menu, which is shared by every Palbox in the world.
