Six Great Gods

Lore & Background

The truth behind their divinity is known only to those who understand the connection between YGGDRASIL and the New World. Unlike Ainz Ooal Gown, who retained his memories and identity, the Six Great Gods seemingly integrated into the world as gods before disappearing entirely. Their legacy created a complex social hierarchy; while humans worship them, their descendants—the God-kin, born from unions with native women—are revered and hold high status within the Slane Theocracy.

Reader's Guide

The existence of the Six Great Gods bridges the gap between the digital realm and the New World reality. Originally players in YGGDRASIL, they were transported approximately three centuries before Ainz Ooal Gown's arrival due to a catastrophic server shutdown event. Their immense power levels, far exceeding native capabilities, cemented their status as divine beings among the locals. They established the foundation for what would become the Slane Theocracy, introducing advanced magic and technology that reshaped human civilization.

However, their legacy is complex; while worshipped by humans, one member bore children with a New World native, creating the first God-kin. This lineage became a source of conflict, as the Church later hunted these descendants despite their divine blood. Their disappearance remains shrouded in mystery. Unlike Ainz, who maintained his identity, they seemingly vanished or perished after sealing away the Demon Emperor Jaldabaoth.

Their story serves as a warning and a testament to how players from Earth can fundamentally alter another world's history through sheer strength.
