UK advisory body on emerging respiratory virus threats.
The New and Emerging Respiratory Virus Threats Advisory Group (NERVTAG) advises the UK Government's Chief Medical Advisor on threats from viral respiratory tract infections. It replaced the UK Scientific Pandemic Influenza Advisory Committee to broaden its scope beyond pandemic influenza. The group held its inaugural meeting on 19 December 2014 and has advised on the COVID-19 pandemic.
