History
Llannefydd Football Club got its start in August 1999, when a new pitch was finally ready after seven years of work. The club immediately joined the Clwyd League Division Two. Their opening four games brought two draws and two losses, but September saw their first victory, a 7-2 thrashing of Hawarden Rangers Juniors. In 2011, the club moved to the brand-new Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Football League, landing in Division One and finishing as runners-up that first season.
A third-place finish in 2012-13 was capped by their first silverware, a 3-1 win over Bro Cernyw in the Auxiliary Cup final. The following year, they climbed to the Premier Division, won the league title, and kept hold of the Auxiliary Cup with a 2-0 victory over Machno United. They returned to that cup final in 2015 but lost to Rhyl Athletic, then ended the next season as league runners-up and winners of the President's Cup. The 2016-17 campaign was their finest: they swept the Premier Division title, the Premier Cup, and the Premier Auxiliary Cup, only missing a quadruple after falling to Abergele in the President's Cup final.
Promotion to the Welsh Alliance League Division Two followed, where their best finish was runner-up in the curtailed 2019-20 season. As part of the Welsh pyramid restructure, the club joined the North Wales Coast East Football League Premier Division at tier four. After two straight second-place finishes, they earned promotion to the Ardal North West in 2023.
