Men's team
The club was founded in 1989. In 2006–07, they won the Caernarfon & District League by 20 points, but promotion to the Gwynedd League was uncertain due to ground issues; the club had decided to fold if not promoted. They were promoted and played in the Gwynedd League from 2007–08. The team won the NWCFA Intermediate Cup in 2016. After a 2020 league restructure, they entered the North Wales Coast West Football League Division One for 2020–21. They were promoted to the Premier Division in 2024 as Division One runners-up.
Ground
The men’s side now uses Bangor University’s Treborth Playing Fields, after moving from Parc Dwyfor. The women’s team still played at Parc Dwyfor as of December 2025. In May 2007, the club’s lack of changing rooms and showers nearly blocked its promotion to the Gwynedd League; chairman Dewi Pritchard pointed out that several existing league grounds also fell short. Funding arrived in February 2026 to help make Cae Top in Llanystumdwy a permanent base for all teams.
