Lore & Background

Familetna pits two families of five members each (all aged 18 or older) against each other. Questions are gathered from public surveys conducted in Algiers, Oran, Biskra, and Constantine. Each question has multiple answers with different point values. The team leader who knows an answer presses a button; if the answer has the highest point value, the rest of the family tries to identify the remaining answers. If the leader's answer is not the top answer, the opposing family's leader gets a chance to give the top answer. If a family gives three wrong answers, the other family gets an opportunity to answer.

Reader's Guide

The game consists of four stages plus a final. In the first stage, the leaders of each family compete on one question with seven answers. The second stage is identical but pits the first individual of each family. The third stage involves the second individual of each family, with one question containing six answers worth double points. The fourth stage involves the third individual, with one question containing five answers worth triple points. After the fourth stage, the family with the most points advances to the final. In the final, the family selects two members: one is isolated with black glasses and headphones, while the other answers five questions in 20 seconds. Each question has a 'top answer' worth the most points. The isolated member then answers the same questions. To win, the pair must achieve a total score of at least 200 points plus a certain number of top answers: 200 points + 1 top answer wins 100,000 DZD; 200 + 2 top answers wins 200,000 DZD; 200 + 3 top answers wins 300,000 DZD; 200 + 4 top answers wins 400,000 DZD; 200 + 5 top answers wins 1,000,000 DZD.
