Playing career
Rempe was not selected in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft and began his junior career with the Spruce Grove Saints of the Alberta Junior Hockey League after being the final cut from the Seattle Thunderbirds training camp. He joined the Thunderbirds the following year and, despite missing the first 15 games due to injury, recorded 12 goals and 19 assists for 31 points in 47 games during the 2019–20 season. After that season the New York Rangers drafted him in the sixth round of the 2020 NHL entry draft with the 165th overall pick. Thunderbirds general manager Bill LaForge Jr. commented on the selection, and coach Matt O'Dette said Rempe had burst onto the scene and was integral to the team. Rempe also made a statement. His 2020–21 season was shortened by COVID-19, and in 2021–22 he tallied 17 goals and six assists in 56 games for Seattle. He attended Rangers training camps before the 2021–22 and 2022–23 seasons; during the 2022 camp he fought Wade Allison of the Philadelphia Flyers in scrimmages and said he would continue playing hard and physically. Rempe joined the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League for 2022–23, posting six goals and four assists in 53 games. At the 2023 Rangers training camp he fought Ross Johnston and Scott Mayfield in exhibition games, impressing the coaching staff, and coach Peter Laviolette commented. During the 2023–24 AHL season he played both wing and centre. After scoring eight goals through February 11, 2024, with Hartford, he was recalled to the Rangers, scratched for one game, returned to Hartford, and then recalled again a few days later.
