2010 NFC Wild Card playoffs at Seattle Seahawks
Seahawks 41, Saints 36: the champions dethroned by a 7–9 team and Marshawn Lynch's 67-yard run.
Entering the postseason as the NFC's #5 seed, the defending Super Bowl champion Saints began their playoff run at Qwest Field against the #4 Seattle Seahawks, the only team ever to make the playoffs with a losing record (7–9), in a rematch of their Week 11 meeting, and lost 41–36. Marshawn Lynch's 67-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter delivered the punishing blow, and a failed onside kick sealed any hope of a comeback.
