Tuck Rule Game

The Tuck Rule Game, also known as the Snow Bowl, was the 2001 AFC Divisional Playoff game between the New England Patriots and the Oakland Raiders, played in heavy snow on January 19, 2002, at Foxboro Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The Patriots won 16–13 in overtime; it was the last game ever played at the stadium.

Background
In the fourth quarter Raiders cornerback Charles Woodson hit Tom Brady, causing what officials first ruled a fumble recovered by Greg Biekert. On review, officials ruled that although Brady had seemingly halted his passing motion and was trying to tuck the ball back into his body, it was an incomplete pass under the rules then in effect, and the Patriots kept the ball. Adam Vinatieri kicked a 45-yard field goal with under a minute left to tie the game at 13 and a 23-yard field goal in overtime to win it. New England went on to win Super Bowl XXXVI.
