Burning tin sharpens the senses.
In Mistborn, an Allomancer who burns tin improves their perceptive abilities, such as eyesight and hearing. Tin is one of the metals Vin learns to burn while Kelsier's crew trains her, alongside pewter to strengthen the body and steel and iron for a limited telekinesis over metal.
