Ross Brawn
From Brawn GP owner to Mercedes team principal.
Ross Brawn (born 23 November 1954) is a British engineer and former team principal. As technical director at Benetton and Ferrari he was known as the mastermind behind Michael Schumacher's seven world titles; teams with Brawn in a key role have won eight constructors' and eight drivers' championships.

After a sabbatical in 2007 he returned in 2008 as Honda's team principal, and in early 2009 he took over the team as Brawn GP, which won both championships that year. Mercedes bought into the team in November 2009, with Brawn as team principal and co-owner alongside Nick Fry; in 2011 the two sold their remaining shares to Mercedes-Benz and Brawn stayed on as team principal. In November 2013 it was announced he would step down, handing leadership to Paddy Lowe and Toto Wolff, and he retired from Formula One in February 2014.
