Nico Rosberg World Championship
German-Finnish former racing driver, 2016 Formula One World Champion, and entrepreneur.
Nico Erik Rosberg (born 27 June 1985) is a German and Finnish former racing driver, entrepreneur, and broadcaster who competed under the German flag in Formula One. Rosberg won the Formula One World Drivers' Championship in 2016 with Mercedes, and won 23 Grands Prix across 11 seasons.

Lore & Background
Rosberg is the only child of Finnish Formula One World Champion Keke Rosberg and his German wife. He was born in Wiesbaden but raised primarily in Monaco. He began competitive karting at age six, won the 2002 Formula BMW ADAC Championship, the inaugural GP2 Series championship in 2005, and later defeated his teammate Lewis Hamilton to win the 2016 World Drivers' Championship. He and his father are the second father-son pair, after Graham and Damon Hill, to both win World Drivers' Championships.

Rosberg first drove in Formula One with Williams, achieving two podium finishes. He moved to Mercedes in 2010, partnering Michael Schumacher, then Lewis Hamilton from 2013 to 2016. He finished runner-up to Hamilton twice before winning the 2016 title. He announced his retirement five days after clinching the title. Overall, he started 206 Grands Prix, with 23 wins, 30 pole positions, 20 fastest laps, and 57 podium finishes.
