Vinnie Gognitti is Lupino's right-hand man. Max Payne searches for Gognitti in New York City's underworld, hoping he will lead him to Lupino. After catching Gognitti, Max interrogates him and learns Lupino is at his nightclub.
In Their Own Story
In *Max Payne 2*, Vinnie Gognitti is the underboss of the Punchinello Crime Family. He is trying to monopolize the black market arms trade and sees Vlad as a threat. Max heads to Vlad's restaurant to question him about a raid, only to find him under attack by mobsters led by Vinnie. After saving Vlad, he claims that Vinnie is trying to monopolize the black market arms trade. Later, Vlad raids his restaurant to kill Vinnie. Max manages to save Vinnie from Vlad's men, and the two head to Mona's hideout to seek her help. However, Vlad ambushes them, murdering Vinnie and shooting Max for killing Winterson.
