Characters

Colonel William F. Guile, voiced by Michael Donovan, is the main protagonist and leader of the Street Fighters, a peacekeeping force. Unlike in the games, Guile is single and has no children; he has an on-and-off relationship with an ex-girlfriend named Lucinda and a mutual attraction with Cammy. General M. Bison, voiced by Richard Newman, is the ruthless ruler of Shadaloo and the main antagonist. Chun-Li Xiang, voiced by Donna Yamamoto, is the lead female character who seeks to avenge her father killed by M. Bison; like in the movie, she works as a news reporter. Carlos "Charlie" Blanka, voiced by Scott McNeil, is Guile's combat buddy Charlie turned into a mutant by Dr. Dhalsim; he temporarily reverts to human form in "Eye of the Beholder". Ken Masters, also voiced by Scott McNeil, is depicted as a traveling con-man with a rivalry with Ryu; he becomes more prominent in season two and is the only character to defeat Akuma in "The World's Greatest Warrior". Ryu Hoshi, voiced by Tong Lung, is Ken's traveling partner and rival to Sagat; he is the more mature of the duo and has a cousin named Sachi. Cammy White, voiced by Lisa Ann Beley, is a Delta Red member with a mutual attraction to Guile; she is brainwashed by M. Bison in "Cammy and the Bachelor" and remains his agent until the final episode. Edmond Honda, voiced by Paul Dobson, is a computer whiz who loves hacking into government files. Dee Jay also appears.

ADV Films released the complete series on Region 1 DVD in two sets: Street Fighter: Code of Honor on April 13, 2003, containing all Season 1 episodes, and Street Fighter: Soul Powers on May 13, 2003, containing all Season 2 episodes; both sets are now out of print. The episode "Final Fight" was included as unlockable content in the 2010 video game Final Fight: Double Impact. A Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collector's Set including a Blu-ray Disc of the entire series was released in North America on September 18, 2012. Reception

Critics have largely panned Street Fighter across its two-season run. 411Mania ranked it among the franchise's worst failures, panning its animation as worse than Captain Planet, its story as forced, and its dialogue as terrible. Destructoid's Nick Chester deemed it "an abomination" and "spectacularly awful." 1UP.com called the cartoon "really crappy" and placed it on a list of the worst video game cartoons, noting that fans rarely recall the Saturday morning show fondly. GamesRadar omitted it from a 2010 list of horrendous video game cartoons but still described it as a "terrible abomination" that would have made the cut if not for Darkstalkers.
