Magical × Heroine Magimajo Pures!

Magical × Heroine Magimajo Pures! is a Japanese TV drama that ran from April 2018 to March 2019. It is the second show in the Girls × Heroine Series, made by Takara Tomy and OLM, Inc. with help from Shogakukan and EXPG Studio, after the hit show Idol × Warrior Miracle Tunes!. The target audience is young girls. The main cast includes Yuki Miyoshi, Momoka Sumitani, Misaki Tsuruya, Youka Ogawa, and Kurea Masuda. The story follows the Magimajo Pures, a team of middle school girls who can transform into magical heroines to defend people’s dreams from the Nuisance World. To promote the series, the lead actresses also performed music as the idol group Magical², though this singing career was brief. The show ended in 2019 and was followed by Secret × Heroine Phantomirage!.

The plot begins when the Nuisance World steals magical gemstones called Majoka Jewels and turns them into dark crystals known as Akirame Stones. These stones corrupt people’s dreams, turning them into villainous Akiramests. A middle school student named Momoka is called by a fairy named Mokonyan from the Magical World to join two other heroines, Rin and Mitsuki. Together, as the Magimajo Pures, they use magic to purify the Akiramests and restore the Majoka Jewels.

The main characters are first-year middle school students who become magical girls using a Majoka Porte and their own Majoka Jewels. Each girl wields a magic wand called a Majoka Lumina, and different Jewels let them cast different spells to defeat enemies. Over time, their Jewels are upgraded to Royal Jewels, allowing them to transform into Royal Mode. The team starts with Momoka, Rin, and Mitsuki, later joined by a purified Shiori, and finally by Yuria.

Momoka Aino, played by Yuki Miyoshi, is the pink Heart Magical Heroine with the Heart Ruby. She is a bright, energetic first-year student full of dreams, and her Jewel lets her purify hearts. Her catchphrase is "That's magical!" and her solo move is "Heartful Lovely Party."

Rin Shirayuki, played by Momoka Sumitani, is the blue Frozen Magical Heroine with the Frozen Sapphire. Originally from the Magical World, she is a top student who loves reading. Her Jewel can freeze things and calm people. Her catchphrase is "How mysterious!" and her solo move is "Frozen Cool Splash."

Mitsuki Hanamori, played by Misaki Tsuruya, is the yellow Flower Magical Heroine with the Flower Citrine.
