Lore & Background

Alberto Clemente is the don of the Clemente crime family, one of the three Mafia families in the fictional city of Empire Bay. He is mentioned as the don whose organization Joe Barbaro has joined in Vito Scaletta's absence. Later, Vito and Joe are ordered by Don Carlo Falcone to assassinate Clemente, which they carry out.

In Their Own Story

The rain-slicked street reflected the neon sign of the bar. Tommy slid into the booth opposite Clemente, who nursed a whiskey. 'You're late,' the detective muttered, not looking up. Tommy placed an envelope on the table. Clemente's eyes flicked to it, then back to his glass. 'There's a patrol shift change at the docks tonight. 11:30. You'll have a 20-minute window.' He pocketed the envelope without counting. 'Don't make a habit of this, kid. It's bad for my reputation.' He drained his glass and vanished into the back room, leaving Tommy alone with the smell of cheap liquor and betrayal.

Reader's Guide

Alberto Clemente is a non-player character (NPC) in *Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven* who serves as a police informant for the Salieri family. He appears in a handful of missions, primarily as a source of information or to provide cover for the player's criminal activities. The player interacts with him by meeting at designated locations, usually a bar, to receive tips or pay bribes. Clemente is not a combatant and cannot be harmed without failing the mission. His role is purely narrative, reinforcing the game's atmosphere of corruption. Players should pay attention to his dialogue, as it often contains hints for upcoming objectives. He is a static character who does not develop over the course of the game, but his presence adds depth to the world. There are no gameplay mechanics tied to him beyond scripted cutscenes and dialogue choices. If you're looking for a shootout or a chase, you'll be disappointed—but if you want to feel the grimy pulse of Lost Heaven's underbelly, slide into that booth and listen.
