Background
Los Angeles gained only 130 yards and punted 11 times. Jim McMahon's 16-yard touchdown run and a Kevin Butler field goal made it 10-0 after one quarter, and a Rams chance just before halftime ended when Dickerson was tackled at the 5-yard line as time ran out. Coach John Robinson said afterwards that a timeout had been called.
