Fiore began his professional career with Cosenza in 1992, then moved to Parma in 1994, making his Serie A debut and winning the UEFA Cup. He later played for Padova, Chievo, and returned to Parma, winning a second UEFA Cup and the Coppa Italia in 1999. He moved to Udinese, winning the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 2000, then to Lazio in 2001, where he won the Coppa Italia in 2004 as top scorer. He transferred to Valencia in 2004, winning the UEFA Supercup, but struggled and was loaned to Fiorentina, Torino, and Livorno. He returned permanently to Italy with Mantova in 2007, was inactive in 2008–09, and ended his career at Cosenza in 2009–2011. At international level, he won 38 caps for Italy between 2000 and 2004, scoring twice, and was part of the squads for Euro 2000 and Euro 2004.
