Lore & Background
Shifu has Po teach an introductory kung fu lesson to a group of unruly bunny children. To show them that kung fu means "excellence of self", Po tells how each of the Five learned the quality that made them a master: Mantis patience, Viper courage, Crane confidence, Tigress control and Monkey compassion. Po's framing story is computer-animated, while the Five's stories are told in 2D cel animation like the film's opening and closing credits. Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, David Cross and Randall Duk Kim reprise their roles, Jaycee Chan voices the young Monkey, and the animation was done by Reel FX Creative Studios and Film Roman.
