Kazuma's Cheat Item
Offered any cheat to take along, Kazuma chose the goddess Aqua.
Every Japanese person the gods send to the parallel world gets to take one cheat: a powerful weapon or special ability meant to help them beat the Devil King. When Kazuma Satou made his choice, he picked the goddess Aqua herself, so his cheat is his own party member.

Background
Cheats are handed out by Aqua when a reincarnated person arrives. None of them is flawless: weapons only reach full power in the hands of the person who chose them, so the sword Gram is just a heavy blade for anyone but Mitsurugi, and special powers usually come with a catch and a big mana cost. When an owner dies their treasure can end up loose in the world, and it is Eris's job to track such items down and seal them.
