Background
In Conte's first season, 2011-12, Juventus went the whole Serie A campaign unbeaten, edging Milan in a tight race. They clinched the title on the 37th matchday by beating Cagliari 2-0 while Milan lost to Inter, and a 3-1 win over Atalanta on the last day made them the first team to go unbeaten in the 38-game format. The title opened a run of nine consecutive scudetti from 2011 to 2020; in 2013-14 Juventus won a third straight title with a record 102 points and 33 wins, the club's 30th official league championship.
