Jonathan Cain is an American musician, singer and songwriter, best known as the keyboardist and rhythm guitarist for Journey. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Journey in 2017.

Cain was born in Chicago on February 26, 1950. He is a survivor of the Our Lady of the Angels School fire of 1958. He began accordion lessons at age eight and later played accordion and piano at parties and clubs. He also plays guitar, bass, and harmonica. He graduated from East Leyden High School in 1968 and attended the Chicago Conservatory of Music. He joined the Babys in 1979 and left in 1980 to join Journey, replacing Gregg Rolie. He co-wrote 'Don't Stop Believin'' and is the sole author of 'Faithfully'. He has released eight solo albums and moved to Christian music since 2016. He serves as worship leader at City of Destiny, where his wife Paula White is pastor. He published his memoir in May 2018.

Cain joined Journey in 1980 and first collaborated on the album Escape. He performs a piano solo at every Journey concert, usually before 'Open Arms'. He has also been a member of Bad English. His solo discography includes Windy City Breakdown (1977) and multiple Christian albums from 2016 onward.
