Plot summary

Yoshii works in a factory and supplements his income by reselling goods online. He is first seen cheating a supplier of health devices, then selling the items at a high markup. After making a profit, he declines a promotion from his boss and quits his job to expand his reselling business. He moves to a larger suburban house that doubles as an office and warehouse, and asks his girlfriend Akiko to live with him.

He also hires an assistant named Sano. As Yoshii grows more ruthless in his dealings, he faces harassment both online and in person. Akiko, feeling neglected by his coldness and focus on work, moves out.

Yoshii fires Sano after the assistant suggests targeting new products. With everyone gone from his life, disgruntled suppliers and customers coordinate through an online forum. When they discover Yoshii's new address, several of them, including an angry mobster and Yoshii's former boss, arm themselves and threaten him at home.

Yoshii escapes into the woods, leading a chase. He shakes them off and meets Akiko, who plans to flee with him. The group recaptures and kidnaps Yoshii, intending to burn him alive and stream it. Akiko secretly follows. Sano, who has shady connections, tracks Yoshii's phone via GPS, intervenes, and guns down several attackers.

Yoshii asks why Sano would help after being fired. They engage in a shootout and eliminate the remaining assailants. Outside, Yoshii meets Akiko, who had returned after the attack. He goes to embrace her, but she intends to shoot him for his credit cards.

Inexperienced with a gun, she is shot by Sano. The final scene shows Sano and Yoshii driving away. Sano urges Yoshii to keep making profit, promising him anything, even "things that can destroy the world." Yoshii mutters, "So this is how you’re going to hell," leaving their situation ambiguous.
