Lore & Background
Spectre and its characters had been tied up for decades by the Thunderball rights dispute with Kevin McClory; this was their first Eon appearance since Diamonds Are Forever (1971). The Sony Pictures hack revealed clashes between Sony and Eon over money, stunts and locations, and the budget is estimated at $245-300 million. Shot in Austria, the UK, Italy, Morocco and Mexico, it premiered at the Royal Albert Hall on 26 October 2015 and grossed $880 million.
