Giuseppe Meazza
Two-time World Cup winner (1934, 1938 as captain) with 33 goals in 53 games for Italy.
Giuseppe Meazza (23 August 1910 – 21 August 1979) was an Italian footballer and later a manager. He spent most of his playing career at Inter Milan during the 1930s, where he netted 284 times in 408 appearances and lifted three Serie A titles plus the Coppa Italia. He also turned out for local rivals AC Milan for two seasons, Juventus for one, and had spells at Varese and Atalanta. On the international stage, he captained Italy to back-to-back World Cup victories—first on home soil in 1934, then again in 1938—and was named to the tournament’s All-Star Team. He is remembered as one of the finest players of the 20th century and among the greatest Italian strikers ever.
