The Curva Nord, like other curve, contains the most vocal supporters, often known as Ultras. It is usually the focal point of a club's support and the scene of dramatic choreographed displays. In certain countries, the curva can become politicised, with factions based on politics.

Inside the Nord, the air hangs heavy with blue smoke and the sharp tang of pyrotechnics. Reader's Guide

The Curva Nord is located behind the goal at San Siro. It contains only minor curves at its corners, due to the presence of a running track around the pitch. The stand may extend from one corner flag to another or be centrally located behind the goal, bordered by two separate corner sections for ticketing or organizational purposes.
