The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones: My First Adventure
Egypt and Tangier, 1908: young Indy, T. E. Lawrence and the stolen jackal headpiece.
The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones: My First Adventure is a feature-length film of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, released on VHS in 1999 and on DVD in 2007. It joins "Egypt, May 1908", the first half of the pilot Young Indiana Jones and the Curse of the Jackal, with the newly shot "Tangiers, 1908".
Lore & Background
In Oxford in 1908, Indy meets Helen Seymour, whom his father asks to teach him on their voyage to Egypt. After an expedition to the pyramids, T. E. Lawrence invites Indy to the excavation of Ka's tomb, where he meets Rashid, assistant to the archaeologist Howard Carter. The next day Rashid is found murdered and the jackal headpiece stolen; the culprit is the excavation's chief blaster, the Greek demolitions expert Demetrios, who flees.
Reader's Guide
Demetrios is played by Vic Tablian, who had played Barranca and the Monkey Man in Raiders of the Lost Ark, and his encounters with Indy were edited into My First Adventure and Spring Break Adventure. Young Indy in these 1908 episodes is played by Corey Carrier.
