Playing career

Colton Beck began his junior career with the Langley Chiefs in the BCHL before moving on to play for the Alaska Nanooks in college. After finishing his college hockey, he joined the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL in 2014. He later signed with the Iowa Wild of the AHL in January 2016. During the 2018–19 season, on November 1, 2018, Beck inked a two-year, two-way deal with the Minnesota Wild, the NHL affiliate of Iowa. Following five seasons with Iowa, the pandemic-delayed 2020–21 North American season left him unsigned. He then agreed to a one-year contract with EV Landshut of Germany’s DEL2 on December 10, 2020, but was released six days later due to family health concerns involving a newborn and a German lockdown. Back in Canada, Beck signed a professional tryout with the Stockton Heat on February 12, 2021, and notched one goal and six points in 21 games during the shortened season. On August 25, 2021, he opted for a European return, signing a one-year deal with the Dornbirn Bulldogs of the ICEHL. In June 2022, he joined the Stavanger Oilers of the Norwegian Eliteserien. In the final game of the 2022–23 season, he scored two goals in a 3–0 win over Storhamar, clinching the Norwegian championship.
