Descending Dark
The upgraded dive spell that slams down with SOUL and Shadow.
Descending Dark is a spell in Hollow Knight and the upgraded form of Desolate Dive. Casting it while holding down drives the Knight into the ground with SOUL and Shadow, breaking some floors and hurting nearby enemies.

Background
The impact sends up a shockwave that reaches higher than Desolate Dive's and bursts twice, for a total of 60 or 65 damage without charms. Like the basic dive it makes the Knight invulnerable for a moment, about 0.4 seconds. Shaman Stone raises its damage and Spell Twister lowers its SOUL cost. The spell is taken from the body of a snail shaman sealed in crystal in the Crystallised Mound of Crystal Peak, and a Lumafly Lantern is recommended for reaching it.
