The free developer toolset Crate gives every Grim Dawn owner.
Grim Dawn's modding tools are free for everyone who owns the game. They are the same tools the developers used to make it, so players can build their own content, items, classes and worlds. More advanced modders can use Lua scripting to drive complex gameplay events.
Background
An official Modding Tools Guide walks through the World Editor, Quest Editor, Conversation Editor and Database Editor, and has a Lua section for scripting. Community projects built with the tools include the Grim Dawn Community League, a yearly seasonal ladder, and Grimarillion, a compilation of masteries drawn from several games.
