Lore & Background

The game is set in the then-future year of 2025 on Auroa, a fictional island chain in the Pacific Ocean owned by billionaire Jace Skell, founder of Skell Technology. The player takes on the role of Lieutenant Colonel Anthony 'Nomad' Perryman, a U.S. Special Operations Forces soldier sent to investigate disturbances involving Skell Technology. The main antagonist is former Ghost Lieutenant Colonel Cole D. Walker, who leads a rogue group called the Wolves. Returning characters from Wildlands include Dominic 'Holt' Moretta, Corey 'Weaver' Ward, and Rubio 'Midas' Delgado.

In Their Own Story

The bunker's emergency lights flickered as Sergeant Holt dragged the last crate of supplies through the blast door. 'We're set for another week,' he said, wiping grime from his face. Nomad nodded, studying the holographic map table they'd jury-rigged from salvaged drone parts. 'Good. Get the armory online—I want those custom M4s ready by dawn.' Behind them, a welder's arc flared as a resistance engineer reinforced the comms array. Every bolt tightened, every circuit soldered, was a small victory against the wolves outside. This was their home now, and they would make it a fortress.
