Lore & Background

The game takes place in Bolivia in July 2019. The country has become unstable as the Santa Blanca Cartel gains control. The player controls members of Delta Company, First Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group, known as 'Ghosts', deployed as part of Operation Kingslayer.

In Their Own Story

Vega watched the beam sweep the valley, now a smear of grey. "Two minutes," she whispered into the comms. "Fog's rolling in from the east. You've got a window."

On the ground, Cole felt the temperature drop, the world narrowing to a wet, breathing half-light. The tower's floodlight cut a pale cone through the mist, but beyond ten metres the beam dissolved. He pressed his face into the mud, counted the seconds between the guard's footsteps, and let the rain do what no suppressor could: swallow the sound of his hands on the climbing hold. Above, the guard muttered something, tilted his head. The rain was on his side tonight. Cole moved.

Reader's Guide

The dynamic weather system and day-night cycle affect gameplay. Completing missions during day-time allows players to spot enemies easily, while night offers better concealment and easier infiltration due to some guardsmen being asleep. Players can use vehicles such as dirt bikes, helicopters, and dune buggies, and can parachute from helicopters.
