Playing career
Schweri began his junior career with EHC Kloten's U20 team and made his National League debut with the senior side in the 2013-14 season, appearing in one game. After that season, he joined the Sherbrooke Phoenix of the QMJHL, who had selected him 35th overall in the 2014 CHL Import Draft. Over two seasons with Sherbrooke, he recorded 104 points (21 goals) in 87 regular-season games and added 6 points (1 goal) in 9 playoff contests. On May 23, 2016, he signed his first professional contract, a two-year deal with Genève-Servette HC. In his first season there, he was assigned to HC Ajoie of the Swiss League, where he produced 13 points in 8 games. Unhappy with his usage under head coach Chris McSorley, Schweri requested a move; he ultimately played 44 games for Servette, collecting 13 points, before being sent to HC Ajoie for the playoffs. The following season, under new head coach Craig Woodcroft, Schweri appeared in 33 regular-season games and recorded 9 points. On January 12, 2018, he suffered an arm injury that required surgery and sidelined him for the rest of the season. He left Geneva after that campaign. On July 12, 2018, he signed a one-year contract with the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, and on March 8, 2019, he agreed to a two-year extension with the Lakers. On July 7, 2021, he signed a one-year deal with the SCL Tigers as a free agent. On January 28, 2022, he was traded to HC Ajoie in exchange for Dario Rohrbach. On April 26, 2022, he joined HC La Chaux-de-Fonds of the Swiss League on a one-year contract.
